Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD)
I specialize in working with individuals who experience Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) and am deeply passionate about clearing up the common misunderstanding between OCD and OCPD. While OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) is an anxiety disorder defined by intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, OCPD is a personality style marked by perfectionism, rigidity, control, and a strong need for order that often feels “right” or ego-syntonic to the person. This can create significant challenges in relationships, self-esteem, and flexibility in daily life. Because OCPD is frequently misdiagnosed or confused with OCD, many people don’t receive the support and treatment that best meets their needs. My goal is to bring clarity, compassion, and evidence-based strategies to help clients better understand themselves and build healthier, more balanced ways of living.
